IVF Implantation Versus Infertility
In-vitro fertilization also known as IVF includes that of fertilizing the human egg cell in a lab and implanting the embryo or the fertilized egg inside the womb or uterus of a woman for having regular pregnancy and birth.Every now and then, an embryo that results from an in-vitro fertilization is frozen to be used later for IVF implantation.
In-vitro fertilization is a procedure to be followed by women who have problems in conception. This procedure helps them to conceive a child and have a normal term of pregnancy. This procedure can also be used to prevent transmitting of hereditary illnesses.Fertilization doesn’t happen in a test tube but in a small container that is often called a perti dish.
Test tube baby is the most famous name for the baby that resulted from an in-vitro fertilization. There are a number of procedures that can be done in order to produce the test tube baby.First, the eggs have to be collected from the woman. But before collecting them, the woman has to take special drugs that would stimulate ovulation. When the eggs are ripe, the surgeon performs an operation to remove them.
The next phase in IVF implantation includes that of fertilizing the egg and its development in the laboratory. After the egg has been removed, they are taken straight to the laboratory, where they are placed in a special fluid for six hours. Then the man who is the partner of the woman or the male donor supplies the sperm specimen. This must happen at least four hours after the eggs are collected. The sperm must be treated with special washing and incubation. They are then placed together with the eggs and left for about eighteen hours. In following the procedure, the eggs are reexamined to see if it has fertilized. They are also returned for culture for the next 24 hours.
Following the fertilization method, the grown fertilized egg will then be transferred into the woman’s uterus. To minimize the risk of many pregnancies, only a few eggs are given to the woman.
